I haven't checked ye ole LiveJournal in a loooong time. I've migrated to Mog & Facebook. Terrible, isn't it? There was a lot of drama here & I don't need anymore in my life. Sure, I might miss the communities, but I was here for the music - which I get on Mog and I can search for fanfiction & television updates via hand-dandy Google. I never really got into the whole Internet journal thing. Hell, I think that I've filled one whole paper journal in three years & all the rest are half or a fifth full. So ciao LJ, it's been interesting, kiddos. Take care & stay cool.

I'll keep the account open, in case the urge ever hits to share my life on the Internet, but I highly doubt that I'll be back anytime soon.

So. I still feel a little shitty. Not as much, but still. I have to finish my Wellness final today. That way Monday, I can go to the library and research for the five Portrayals of History essays that I have yet to start. I should get some work done in the library. I hope.
Rushmore is an awesome movie. So is Annie Hall. My Portrayals final is slowly coming along. I probably have more information than I need, but that's good. I have yet to start my Explorations in Creative Arts, Lang. and Lit. final. I need to find a local institution in the arts. I'll probably go to Uplands. It's close and I won't feel to awkward there. (I think.) Essays will be the death of me. I want to cry. Except instead of you know, actaully working on them, I'm online. That's BAAAAD.

Uno: I am watching Ferris Buller's Day Off for the fifth time since the semester has started to avoid writing my English paper on Andrew Marvell's To His Coy Mistress that is due at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon. Ooh, I just made a Grey's Anatomy dirty mistresses connection. Sadly, I don't think that it will help me. Poop. It would have made for some great entertainment and amusement on my part. I love it when real life and fandoms can collide in school. School isn't my friend right now. I just want it to be the holiday break. Or maybe not, because i still don't have a job lined up.

Deux: I have a lime on my desk. I should get a knife and eat it because limes are yummy. Plus, they're a beautiful green colour.

Three: I want to go rent a bunch of DVDs and VHSs, but I really do need to finish my paper. So, instead I'm watching what I have here. Which is bad because I'm still not doing any work. Bugger.

Quatre: Winter semester course selection is upon us and I really, really, really don't want to take a French class. But if I don't take one over the winter, I'll be stuck in my second year with two back-to-back French courses. Yucky. Sometimes, I really dislike Quebec.

Five: I am surrently obsessed with All-Time Quarterback's Plans Become Complex video. Ben Gibbard is a dirty boy. Lovelovelovelove. I miss Ben and the boys, along with Ted Leo and his Pharmacists. I want to see them again so fucking badly. I still have to do my concert post. I have all these notes scribbled in my tiny notebook. So many little details of pure love.

Six: The Decemberists are in Montreal tonight and I wish that I had known about the concert sooner, because then I would have made plans to go. Only I didn't so I'm here in Lennox wishing that I was back at Metropolis. Tickets are only 20-odd dollars. It pains me.

Oh, Charlotte, you made me laugh. Which I needed very badly. Plus, I'm getting money in my account tomorrow. Yays. I can buy groceries. I'm not as bad of a student as I was last week. I finished two assignments that are due on Wednesday yesterday. I'm almost finished my Wellness lab for Tuesday - I just have to make up some more bullshit about my physical activity. Well, most of it is true. I walk almost an hour each day and I walk fucking fast. Especially on the golf path. BUT, I still have my Harlan County USA paper to finish for tomorrow.

And I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my books on Wednesday. I might skip English or at least leave early to get on the 2:08 bus to the station. Then it's Montreal to see my loves Ted Leo and Death Cab. So excited.

Halloween is Tuesday which is cool, expect I have class until eight. My costume cost less than fifteen bucks. Yay. I knew that the thrift store in Lennox would be good for something. I've called myself Janie and I work at NuMusic, a record store in the early 80s. I have black and white checked leggings ($4), a very, very short black cotton mini($2), an XL men's black and green geometric patterned sweater from Sears ($1)and three 80s records (Don Henley - Can't Stand Still, Rod Stewart - Tonight I'm Yours & Billy Joel - Glass Houses -- one dollar each) and then I bought some cheap pink eye glitter for 3 bucks. Oh, and I modified my Parc Safari name tag from this summer. I love Halloween. The best part is dressing up as someone else. Maybe that's why I love theatre so much.

I'm hungry and I want to watch TV. Boo for no new Studio 60. That means that I might actually go to bed before midnight on a Sunday! Scandalous. But I really do have to finish my Harlan County paper. Why do I have so much trouble writing papers when I set up the format before hand? It's makes it easier to print and take care of. All I have to do is enter the body of the paper. Maybe it's too much pressure, or not enough because it already looks pretty so the words don't have to be, or they do have to be because they have to match the pretty set-up. Bah. That was rambly. Anyways.

Charlotte and my mom cheered me up. I feel all loved. And I might be able to go home for the weekend of Novemember 4th!

Number one: I am putting off writing my Harlan County USA journal for Film Study by writing this entry. Which isn't a good thing because I have to finish it tonight, so that I can go watch a football game with one of my roommates tomorrow and go see a show for Expolorations tomorrow. Plus, I have to finish my Comp. Skills lab and start my Portrayals of History and English essays.

Numero deux: SonicStage is playing Neil Young's Heart of Gold, which is pretty much awesome. The shuffle feature is one of the greatest inventions ever. Really, it is.

Item three: I want to watch What Not to Wear tonight because I'm mean and know that I have too good of a wardrobe to end up being berated by Stacy and Clinton. At the same time, I get very sad watching that show, because I know that I'm years away from having a $5000 wardrobe. Plus, it makes me want to buy new shoes and things that I don't need, but want very, very badly. Damn school, you take away all my money.

The fourth thing: I bought a new lip gloss and it smells yummy. It's called lolly-pink and smells pink Jolly Ranchers. Mmmm. I want Halloween candy now.

High five: I haven't seen my family since last Thursday and I'll only briefly see my mom on this Wednesday late-night/Thursday early-morning when see drives me back to Lennoxville after seeing Death Cab & Ted Leo in Montreal with Shea. Then I most likely won't see then for at least another two weeks. I miss my Eddie dog.

The last concern: My mid-term report confirmed it. My English teacher doesn't like my wirting very much. Yeah, yeah. It's all subjective. Still. It sucks. English was one of my best classes. It's not terrible, but it's not great. It pissed me off. At least there's only five weeks left in the semester. Thankfully.

I'm a bad student. I have many, many things due this week and next and I just cannot seem to get ahead. I do try to do bits and pieces of actual work instead of just sitting in front of the computer pretending. You know, slowly chip away. Well, it's not working. Fuck. Computer Skills for Commerce test on Wednesday? Fucked. Theatre presentation on Tuesday? Slightly-less-fucked, but still fucked. Plus, next week is Halloween and Death Cab/Ted Leo. AND I have a shitload of papers due next week. Including an artist interview. I have my artist, just no questions and I want to send them out tonight, but I know that they'll be stupid. I'm feeling majorly dumb. Humanities, I have no idea what the hell is going on. Or when anything is due. Plus, I don't think that I have anything to eat in the apartment. Tomorrow is grocery night. I am putting off my Explorations in Creative Arts, Lang. & Lit. mid-terms papers to the very last minute. Even thought they are the easiest thing in the world to do. It's 500 words apiece of bullshit about a tango music concert and an art gallery exhibit. But - I really, really don't want to do it. This class is beyond boring. I've named it Boredomville. I rented Best in Show (for like the 10th time in seven years) and Seeing Other People (for Josh Charles!) and I told myself that I won't watch them until I finish my mid-terms. Yeah. Not going to happen. I didn't extend my rental, so the movies are due back Monday. Mind you, it cost me $2.50. Right now, I'm going throught all my taped DVD stuff (mostly West Wing, with a few movies and Scrubs stuff thrown in). So, I'm being very, very, very lazy. At the rate, I'm going to finish in a week. I'm going to try to finish before I go to BU to watch Over the Hedge for $3.50 tomorrow afternoon. Say what you want about Lennoxville, but cheap movies abound.

Right now, my DVD is playing scene in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants where Carmen and her dad (BRAD!) are on the phone and tears ensue. Nope, still no motivation to finish my Quartango paper. Eh, I'll finish the suckers off before Studio 60 tomorrow.

It sucked when you cancelled JAG. Then, CBS picked it and it ran another nine years. (CBS, you are forgiven for screwing with me. NCIS made it better.)

But JAG is besides the point.

This is about The West Wing.

First, the series finale is one hour long. Grey's Antatomy is going to have a three hour season finale. Seriously. It makes you look like cheap jerks.

Then, you pull the plug on the retrospective. AFTER PIMPING IT OUT FOR A HELLACIOUIS AMOUNT OF TIME, IN WHICH, WE, THE FANS, GOT ALL EXCITED AND HAPPY THAT WE WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE TO THE WEST WING. But, no, you had to air the pilot. WHAT THE FUCK? The pilot? I mean, it's excellent, but the fans have seen it, own it, rented or downloaded it x amount of times. We don't need to see it again. Yes, Sorkin is amazing. And yes, you want new Sorkin-whores to tune in and get excited about the new Sorkin project, Studio 60. We get that. Whatever. BUT DAMNIT, PEOPLE DON'T LIKE TO BE SCREWED AROUND WITH. That's why your network fell in the ratings.

The sooner you learn that, the better. Oh, and John Wells et al better not have fucked with us in the one hour series finale.

Now, don't screw up Studio 60. Against our better judgement, we're trusting you. Don't fuck it up. And if Sorkin leaves for whatever reason, don't let John Wells within 50 miles of it. Okay?
